Who is NOITU?

At NOITU, we’re more than just an acronym—we’re the heartbeat of the labor movement, deeply rooted in our commitment to the hardworking individuals who power our industries. Formed from the initials of the “National Organization of Industrial Trade Unions,” our National Union is proud to be a member of the International Union of Journeymen and Allied Trades (IUJAT), forging a powerful alliance for workers’ rights.

Within our ranks, NOITU is the Parent National Union, uniting five autonomous local Unions that represent a diverse array of skilled, semi-skilled, and unskilled industrial workers. Since our founding in 1953, we’ve upheld a steadfast dedication to improving the lives of our members through hard work and integrity.

Our passionate representatives and staff embody this commitment, tirelessly advocating on behalf of our membership. With regular site visits to ensure the faithful adherence to collective bargaining agreements, we leave no stone unturned in safeguarding the rights and conditions of our workers.

Embracing technological advancements, we continuously evolve to better serve our members, identifying innovative ways to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. For nearly seven decades, NOITU has stood as a respected force in the labor movement, and each day, we strive to build upon this legacy for the benefit of both current and future generations of workers. Join us as we pave the way toward a brighter future for all who labor tirelessly for our industries.
